ASOC is pleased to announce we will be ringing in the New Year at the ASOC Playhouse (129 West Bond Street Astoria) with our 3rd Annual TEEN SCENE DANCE PARTY chaperoned event for all ages on Saturday December 31st 2011 from 8:00 pm running to 12:30 am sponsored by Wauna Federal Credit Union and will feature fantastic DJs and free Hip-Hop lessons!

This all-ages dance features dance music by popular local DJ NACHO BIZZNEZ (aka Rich Ewing) who will be "Ringing In The New Year" at the top of every hour for every time zone in the USA, (Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific) starting at 9 PM. Concessions will be available along with fun prizes! Also we will have on hand guest "DJ SS" (Sam Sheaffer-Johnson) and "DJAMS" (Andy Schott), two local Washington Coast boys who show case electro, house, dubstep, hip-hop, and pop inspired music.

ASOC is also pleased to announce Trixie Gunn of I Heart Performing Arts Academy in Astoria will be there to give FREE hip-hop lessons at our celebration! For more info about Trixe and the Academy go to www.iheartperformingartsacademy.com.

ASOC’s TEEN SCENE New Year's Eve Party marks the second of many fresh nightlife adventures between the ASOC and "GO! EVENTS" an Astoria based entertainment theme party marketing company.

This will be the final event in Astoria for owner-operator Rich Ewing who has recently announced he is moving to Portland at the first of the year. Ewing has been a part of the nightclub entertainment industry for over 20 years and more recently can be found most evenings at the Baked Alaska's Northern Lights Lounge mixing up some of his award winning signature cocktails. But by day Rich is also known as DJ "Nacho Bizznez", best known for his fresh music and special blend Hi-Jinks "Cocktail Socials", and from his weekly KMUN (91.9FM on the dial) radio show COCKTAIL NATION, an eclectic "Vintage Cocktail Lounge" music hour with a very special fan base from New York to San Diego. You can find COCKTAIL NATION streaming live online at www.coastradio.org every Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 4pm with Rich's own vast diverse playlist that includes his own special collection of 50s and 60s vintage vinyl ranging from "Rat Pack" Las Vegas lounge acts to an eclectic retro sound of newer music.
