SHANGHAIED IN ASTORIA!

This locally written play is part-vaudeville, part-soap opera, and part 1950’s style Hollywood musical – all combined into a fun and entertaining look at traditional local cultural folklore.  What originated as a celebration of Astoria tradition has now become a tradition itself and you won’t want to miss it!

The 26th Anniversary Season of SHANGHAIED IN ASTORIA opens July 8th 2010 and runs thru Sept 10th 2010 at The ASOC Playhouse, 129 West Bond Street, Uniontown Astoria. (Right behind the Astoria-Warrenton Chamber of Commerce). The show runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (doors open at 7pm, show time 7:30pm) with four Sunday Matinees TBA.

The success of Shanghaied in Astoria has helped ASOC develop other performance options for the community in addition to developing and supporting children’s’ educational programs, Reader’s Theater and Family musicals. In 2009, more than 4000 people came to our shows – how about you?
