This
locally written play is part-vaudeville, part-soap opera, and part
1950’s style Hollywood musical – all combined into a fun and
entertaining look at traditional local cultural folklore. What
originated as a celebration of Astoria tradition has now become a
tradition itself and you won’t want to miss it!

The show runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (doors open at 7pm, show time 7:30pm) with three Sunday Matinees on July 25th, August 8th and September 5th.

Our MISSION
To
strengthen our community through cultural enrichment while supporting
regional economic growth, serving Northwest Oregon and Southwest
Washington. We accomplish this primarily through the production
and presentation of “Shanghaied in Astoria”, thus preserving our
community’s cultural heritage.
Our PURPOSES
–To produce, sponsor and present Performing Arts programs.
–To support regional performing artists.
–To act as an advocate for the Performing Arts in our region.
–To preserve the folklore of our community’s ethnic background.
–To give back by supporting students and volunteers through education and educational scholarships for Performing Arts.

community-based organization to enhance our local theatre culture and
