The Astor Street Opry Company’s Live on Stage… Award Winning…Family Entertainment…That Original…Historical, Hysterical…Broadway-Style…Musical Melodrama… SHANGHAIED IN ASTORIA! Opens July 7th and runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings until September 10th with four Sunday matinees on July 17TH, August 7th, August 28th and Sept. 4th at The ASOC Playhouse, 129 West Bond Street, and Uniontown. Show times are 7:30PM for Thursday through Saturday and Sunday Matinees are 2:00PM with the doors opening 30 minutes before show times.
This locally written play is part-vaudeville, part-soap opera, and part 1950’s style Hollywood musical – all combined into a fun and entertaining look at traditional local cultural folklore. What originated as a celebration of Astoria tradition has now become a tradition itself and you won’t want to miss it!
The 2011 season is dedicated to our own CHRISLYNN TAYLOR as she celebrates her 20th season of performing with us as the character MISS MACIE. CL is also known for her memorable roles as Miss Vivian, Mama and many surprising Olio Acts. A main staple of the ASOC ChrisLynn’s dedication and talent has created many special nights for our audience members over the years! Congratulations ChrisLynn and here is to another 20 years of fine performances! Come join us Opening Night Thursday July 7th for a Champagne Toast to celebrate!
